Proven Theory

Caleb is a 5 year old, 14.1 hand chestnut sportpony. He is 5/8ths Thoroughbred, 3/16ths Arabian, and 3/16ths British Classic Shetland. Caleb's sire, Theoretical, was a full brother to Theodore O'Connor.

Caleb is the ideal pony around the barn. He is on 24/7 turnout, is barefoot and is an easy keeper. Caleb also has great ground manners. He loads well, clips (including body clipping), and ties.

Caleb is ready to expand on his solid basics in jumpers, eventing or combined training. Caleb has participated in a few combined training shows, hunter paces, trail rides and cross country schools. Caleb has flying changes, and the beginnings of lateral work. He has been extensively trail ridden at home, and is calm and confident even in spooky situations. Caleb needs an experienced, quiet, sympathetic rider to take him to him maximum potential. He has been ridden well by several junior riders, but is not a beginner's pony at this time. Caleb is currently schooling 2'9 at home and showing 2'6-2'9.

Update: In preperation for some upcoming dressage and combined training shows, Caleb has been in dressage training and is progressing nicely. He will be doing beginner novice combined training as well as training level tests 1 and 2. Caleb has also been schooling cross country. He is brave and confident over banks and ditches and goes boldly through water.

In 2006, Caleb was 4th place in year end points in the Eastern Hunter Association's Low Hunter, showing half the year at 2' and half at 2'6. In March 2006, Caleb placed 3rd in both over fences classes (2') at his first indoor show. He was Reserve Champion at Macnair's Country Acres in June 2006 with a 1st over fences (2') and a 3rd on the flat. In January 2007, Caleb showed in baby green (2'6) at the Carolina Horse Park, getting 3rd over fences. In October 2005 (only a few months after being backed) Caleb went on a Triangle Farms Hunter Pace in 2nd Flight, and came in 3rd place.
